A lengthy and rather hilly circular road cycling route but encompasses the best the Peak District National Park has to offer; awesome ascents, panoramic views aplenty and quiet backroads.
The climb up Holme Moss is a classic, particularly as it requires a fairly long loop and another major climb to get home again, a climb also visited by 2014 Tour de France.
Although the climb to the north of the route is never ridiculously steep, it’s a superbly rewarding climb miway through this gruelling one hundred mile circular road route.
Starting from the spa town of Buxton (home to many a good coffee stop), we also pass through the popular Peak District towns & villages of Whaley Bridge, Hope, Millers Dale, Blackwell and Taddington too.
