A fantastic, friendly and family-run cafe located in the bustling market town of Lampeter found within the Teifi Valley and with a real focus on using local suppliers and home-cooking.
For those early risers you’ll find a delicious bacon roll or scrambled/poached egg on toast, complete with tea or coffee for a bargain £4.90. There’s also the cyclist staple of toast with beans, marmalade or jam too.
As for lunch there’s a range of daily specials (see their separate menu) alongside a range of freshly made hot & cold sandwiches, toasted ciabattas, jacket potatoes, quiches and soups.
If looking for that sugar fix there’s a great selection of homemade cakes too, the iced pineapple cake we sampled was devine! You’ll also find a deep filled lemon cheesecake, Bakewell tart, coffee cake and range of tray-bakes including tiffin, rice crispy cake, shortbread and Viennese fingers.
The cafe is the perfect coffee stop for groups of all sizes with a sheltered outdoor garden area perfect for for storing bikes and soaking up the Welsh sunshine. To access the patio take the first alleyway found to the left of the cafe (next to the pedestrian crossing) and follow the road to behind the cafe.
It’s worth mentioning in addition to the cafe, inside you’ll also find a book stall and children’s play area at the back of the shop too.
