A fantastic, scenic cycle through charming Ceredigion countryside on largely quiet Welsh roads, with breathtaking views, climbs and fast descents aplenty.
Starting from the riverside town of Llandysul and following the River Teifi, it’s straight into a hilly ascent through sweeping, tree-lined country roads. There’s a small section of moderately busy main road nearer the town of Lampeter but in here in the market town we’re rewarded with excellent coffee and cake at The Mustard Seed cafe or the numerous other cafes available.
Once refuelled we head back west once again, this time diverting further north and taking in the quiet roads through Blaencwrt, Cwmsychbant (with our longest climb), Penffordd and Capel Dewi back into Llandysul. You may choose to head north earlier from Lampeter than we did, through the village of Maestir.
