Found within the magnificent Forest of Dean is the Dean Heritage Centre with their popular cafe serving up all your cafe breakfasts and lunches favourites alongside homemade cakes, a good coffee and superb lake views.

On our visit cakes included a toffee crunch blondie, salted caramel brownie, sticky toffee slice, chocolate & coconut flapjack, caramel flapjack, sweet scones, blackcurrant & white chocolate or apricot flapjack and carrot cake.

Aside from their breakfast baguettes, ‘on toast’ and great value teacakes you’ll find a range of locally sourced pasties, cheese scones, quiche of the day, Moroccan spiced rice, ploughman’s, jacket potatoes, paninis and their famous mac n’ cheese meal.

Both inside the friendly cafe and out on their balcony overlooking the lake you’ll find plenty of space for small to medium sized groups, turnaround is quick and it’s great value for money too.
