Located within the Forest of Dean at the popular cycle centre and start point of a myriad of MTB downhill routes is a superb, great value cafe serving up hearty breakfasts, lunches, cakes and fantastic locally roasted coffee to hungry cyclists, walkers and tourists alike.

Mary’s cakes are a big hit with punters with the rich chocolate brownie a firm favourite of ours. For those early risers there’s a fantastic selection of affordable breakfast options including a full veggie or English, American pancakes, ‘on toast’ options and generously filled baps or butties.

Lunch has a great selection too, a wide choice of freshly made sandwiches and toasties alongside their famous and locally sourced burgers; the wild boar is our go to pick-me-up!

With a huge number seats outdoors, with many undercover, along with ample secure bike racking (complete with locking chains) it’s the ideal pitstop for large cycling groups. What’s more inside you’ll find a well stocked bike shop, workshop for emergency repairs and a roaring log fire for those cooler months.

A newly opened, family-run cafe found in the riverside town of Lydney within the Forest of Dean, a mecca for road and mountain bikers alike. All food is made on-site each day and features a refreshing mix of daily specials alongside your favourite breakfast, brunch and lunch staples with great coffee from Gentlemen Baristas.

With tasty breakfast baps served in brioche rolls from Hobbs House Bakery, alongside avocado or mushroom on sourdough toast and sweetcorn fritters, it makes the perfect morning destination to rest those legs.

Lunch is equally as appetising with specials changing by the week, where on our last visit these included their toasted burritos, kimchi tuna melt or cuban sandwiches with slow cooked pork, smoked ham and Tubby Tom's Mojo Roco sauce. Additionally there’s a great range of toasted sandwiches and salads too.

Famed for their homemade decadent doughnuts and cakes, these include their orange & cardamom buns, carrot, pecan & orange cake (GF), lemon & orange drizzle (vegan) and raspberry & white chocolate filled cookies. Did we mention filled doughnuts too?

For those passing by late on Thursday, Friday or Saturday evenings do stop by for their popular burger nights serving up a delicious range of hip, tasty burgers and sides.
