A fabulous find in the Welsh town of Cardigan, gateway to the Teifi Valley and county of Ceredigion and home to it’s 11th century castle. Serving up delicious homemade breakfasts, lunches, cakes and coffee it’s a welcome pitstop when exploring the west coast of Wales – be sure to give their Biscoff cake slice or Katsu curry a try!
Tasty daily lunch specials on our visit included a Moroccan vegan pitta, Jamaican goat curry, Guinness steak & mushroom pie, chicken shawarma wrap or scotch egg. Both in their specials and on their regular menu you’ll also find plenty of gluten & wheat free, celiac, vegan and veggie options alongside your staples such as sandwiches, baguettes, bagels, jacket potatoes, burgers, paninis, soups and salads.
For those early riders, breakfast includes a large English/veggie/vegan breakfast, American pancakes with smoked bacon and maple syrup, eggs with smoked salmon on sourdough or their bacon, avocado and fried egg sandwich.
The changing selection of homemade cakes are hard to resist too with flavours ranging from a Biscoff, raspberry & lemonade, carrot, chocolate orange and Malteser traybake. You ought not be surprised which we went for (old habits are hard to resist).
