Running between Braunton and Meeth is a tarmacked, shared use path for both cyclists & pedestrians and at thirty miles one of the country’s longest, continuous traffic-free paths.
Along the way you’ll experience estuary mudflats, salt marshes, oak woodland, streams and meadows following the River Taw and passing Torridge Estuary. This route offers you superb views across the mouth of the Taw Estuary and features several wonderful sculptures and shelters created specially for the route.
The route follows the National Cycle Network, Route 3 and Route 27. There are car parks at both ends of the route, Braunton (Caen Car Park) and Meeth (Meeth Halt) and there’s cycle hire too along the route.
