Situated on the edge of the beautiful National Trust Rodborough Common the Winstone family have been creating artisan ice cream on the same premises site since 1925. Now in the hands of their fourth generations, the small batch ice cream boasts incredible flavours and continue to use local milk and cream in their recipes.
It’s take-away only however there’s plenty of space on the common land just outside and a good number of benches with incredible views overlooking Stroud, Gloucestershire and beyond.
As for recommendations they’re all fantastic, however personally we love the honey & ginger pieces, rhubarb crumble and blackberries & cream. Other flavours to note include a rich rum & raisin, strawberries & cream, salted caramel and butterscotch chip.
