Who doesn’t love the smell of freshly baked bread?! Just off the busy A417 in the village of Corse, Gloucestershire is a hidden gem – here at St George’s Bakery you’ll find sandwiches, cakes and patisseries made throughout the day at their busy bakery.

As for sweet treats there’s simply too many to mention, however to name a few; danish pastries (including Chelsea buns, pain au rasin), filled doughnuts (the chocolate is great!), flapjacks, hot cross buns, tray bakes (including rocky road and aero), croissants, cream cakes and shortbread (their millionaire shortbread is delicious). For more inspiration do check-out our pictures below.

As for savoury food you’ll find a large range of breads, freshly prepared sandwiches and a large selection of cold drinks. There’s also an on-site coffee machine, simply make your selection and take it to the till.

With plenty of outdoor seating you can admire the glorious views of the surrounding Gloucestershire countryside and their very own lake.

The bakery is extremely reasonable on the wallet and the staff couldn’t be more friendly! Perhaps Gloucestershire’s finest bakery and somewhere not to be missed.
