Roots is a coffee shop, cafe and community hub based in the centre of the cathedral city of Gloucester, run as a social enterprise meaning very reasonably priced food & drink, alongside one of the warmest welcomes we’ve experienced and a real hive of activity inside.

For breakfast there’s a great selection of meat, veggie and vegan baps where on Saturdays you’ll also find their superb value full breakfasts at just over £5. For lunch there’s a wide range of freshly prepared sandwiches, toasties, paninis, jacket potatoes, savoury croissants, soups and salads.

If looking for something sweet, daily cake specials includes delights such as a moreish peanut butter & jam oaties, chocolate tiffin, Oreo brownie, rocky road and range of pastries.

Aside from great coffee you’ll also find a range of hot drink specials that might tempt you away from your normal flat white… the marzipan latte and Turkish delight white hot chocolate sound devine!

Be sure to stop by when exploring Gloucester’s Cathedral, it’s historic docks or the nearby Cotswolds ANOB and help support this excellent social enterprise.
