As we’re in Grasmere don’t expect any cafe here to be like back home :)

You’ll find great cake at this bike friendly cafe with perhaps the best outdoor seating for groups heading to touristy Lake District village of Grasmere. There’s a light and airy feel along with friendly and efficient service.

Outside you’ll find plenty of room to park your bikes along with a handy bike pump should you need to inflate en-route.

Step inside and on the counter you’ll find a superb selection of homemade cakes including an orange & almond, chocolate tiffin, Swedish gingerbread, spiced & iced fruit cake and moist carrot cake. There’s also a great savoury menu with a selection of brunch and lunch bites.

Whilst in the village be sure to head to The Grasmere Gingerbread Shop to takeaway quite simply ‘the best gingerbread in the world’ – we agree!
