Family owned for over 85 years (est. 1933), Honey Cafe is a mecca for cyclists both near and far drawn by their delicious home-cooked food, fabulous views across to the Black Mountains and plenty of space for large cycling groups.
Well known for their beautiful large outdoor terrace, there’s plenty of space for groups of all sizes where on all but the foggiest days you can soak up the panoramic views across to the Black Mountains part of the Brecon Beacons National Park. For those cooler months there’s also plenty of space inside too!
You’ll find a fantastic selection of homemade cakes ranging from their staple coffee cake and flapjacks to the fanstasic lemon drizzle slice, triple chocolate brownie and Welsh cake!
For savoury there’s a superb range of reasonably priced food ranging from a full/veggie breakfast with tea (also available as a delicious wrap), varying eggs on toast, filled breakfast baps, wraps, sandwiches, jackets and burgers to name a few – all served throughout the day.
Since the early 90’s they’ve been serving up delicious tex-mex food which includes their fabulous quesadillas, cajun spiced chicken, tacos, potato skinfuls and veggie chilli – perfect for those cool December rides!
At Honey Cafe there’s always a friendly welcome awaiting for cyclists and they pride themselves on using local suppliers, the bread for their sandwiches and tasty teacakes for instance, coming from Ashburnham Bakery in nearby Talgarth.
