Raising a storm in the heart of Machynlleth within the UNESCO Dyfi Valley is a superb veggie and vegan focussed bakery serving up homemade cakes, pastries, freshly baked bread, daily savoury food specials and fab coffee.

Sweet specials include their chocolate cruffins (vegan friendly and a cross between a muffin and croissant), cinnamon buns, gooey caramel chocolate brownies, pasteis de nata (Portuguese tarts), almond croissants, pan au chocolat and Bakewell tart.

During our last visit we had a delicious lemon & blueberry cake alongside one of their vegan cruffins, it a tough decision as also available was a very decadently iced carrot & passionfruit too (all pictured). For those looking to recover those legs, there’s a choice of five flapjacks; choc chip, berry, Bakewell, chocolate and plain.

As for savoury snacks these change by the day and include a feta & spinach quiche, chilli cheesy baked potato, vegan friendly burritos, toasties, baguettes and vegan spicy bean burger.

There’s limited seating inside, along with a small number of tables out front too with plenty of space to park your bike.
