Located in a former Methodist Chapel, beside the majestic Dunster Castle and along the village’s cobbled streets, is a fantastic new cafe serving up authentic Asian food, alongside your usual cafe favourites, homemade cakes and great coffee.
For breakfast there’s a range of sourdough toasts with toppings including poached or scrambled egg, in addition to their popular bacon ciabatta rolls.
Their authentic Asian inspired lunches include ‘torpedo’ rolls with a great pork BBQ and sweet & sour sauce, breaded chicken with thousand island sauce, alongside their moreish Asian fried rice or noodles, steamed dumplings (pork & mushroom, prawn, veg) and king prawn tempura.
If looking for a mid-afternoon sweet treat, their homemade cakes aren’t to be missed; orange blossom polenta, rose & pistachio, chocolate orange, whortleberry (mixture of berries), apple and carrot. Tray bakes range from caramel shortbread, raspberry & dark chocolate rocky road, chocolate & orange and very moist brownies.
Inside there’s plenty of seating for groups and advanced bookings are most welcome. Set in the north of Exmoor National Park there’s quiet, scenic roads aplenty along with superb coastal roads and rolling Somerset countryside.
