A superb recently opened garden coffee shop set in the heart of the market town of Abergavenny, known as the ‘Gateway to Wales’, close by to the Brecon Beacons National Park and nestled between seven hills on the Welsh/English border.
The owner Nadia always provides a most friendly welcome come rain or shine and serves up a delicious selection of cakes, biscuit and light lunches alongside superb coffee from Darkwoods Coffee.
Step inside and you’ll find a fantastic selection of cakes and tray-bakes from both Nay Bakes, also based in Abergavenny, and if you’re lucky, you might also time it with their visiting Cardiff French baker, Astrid’s Petite Cuisine – do checkout her social media, as the chocolate pan au chocolat was delicious, as are her almond croissants! Cakes on display during our visit included a brilliant blueberry Bakewell, chocolate & coconut oat bar and millionaire shortbread.
For those looking for something savoury there’s a light selection of savoury food including freshly made soup of the day served with warm pitta and range of organic pies all of which are vegan friendly and served with choice of crisps, daily flavours range from a; ‘beefy ale’ with sweet potato, saag aloo with spinach & potato and a mushroom & leek with butterbeans.
Seating is primarily set outside within a large, superb canvas undercover terraced seating area located within Linda Vista Gardens, where you’ll also find plenty of bike racking too. Additionally inside the hip and bright cafe you’ll find a small number of tables for those cooler rides too!
