Family run Italian cafe and coffee house located in the picturesque town of Presteigne in Powys, Wales, set on the banks of the River Lugg. Inside the rustic and period building you’ll find authentic Italian cicchetti (small snacks), great locally roasted coffee and superb light lunches.

Space inside is at a premium, especially at weekends however you’ll find a varying Italian inspired lunch menu with goodies include Tuscan bean soup, capresse salad, linguine with basil pesto, meatball gratin, courgette & mint polpette and wild venison gnocchi ragu. All are very reasonably priced given their quality and taste, perfect for those longer Welsh rides!

As for sweet treats, during our early morning visit specials included a croissant with cheese & salami or butter & jam and plum & almond cake with cream, alongside almond or chocolate biscotti.

In addition to their daytime lunch specials and savoury snacks, on Friday and Saturday evenings at 18:30 you’ll find a superb evening menu with seasonal specialists including asparagus risotto, meatball gratin, fillet of sole and chicken cacciatore (wrapped in bacon).
