coffee

The coffee is fantastic, caffeine fanatics are certainly at home here! Coffee is roasted by Assembly in Brixton

taste

The Portuguese tart (pictured) is perhaps the best we’ve tasted, we’d highly recommend their Biscoff cookie tray-bake too for those looking for something sweet and filling

selection

Alongside great coffee are a small selection of homemade tray-bakes, pastries, cookies and sweet banana

value

American (£3.10), cappuccino (£3.30), hand brew coffee (£3.70), tea (£2.50), tray-bakes (from £2.80), energy balls (£3.00), Pastel de Nata (£2.60), cookies (£3.20), ‘friands’ (Swedish muffin, £3.50)

storage

Although there’s no dedicated bike racking due to the size of the venue it’s easy to keep an eye on your bike either from inside or propped up beside the benched seating

groups

Small to medium sized groups should have no problem finding a seat either inside or out, with larger groups possibly having to make it a quicker pitstop and congregate in their courtyard. Do note weekends do get rather busy with locals

location

Situated in the heart of Cheltenham, once refuelled why not head north past Pitville Park and climb Cleeve Hill into the Norman Cotswold town of Winchcombe and onto Salters Lane along perhaps one of our favourite Cotswold road sections with breathtaking panoramas all round. From there you can continue through the chocolate box villages of Hawling, Guiting Power and Broadway onto the bustling market town of Chipping Campden at the foot of Dovers Hill

Situated just a stones throw from Cheltenham’s regent town centre is a Scandinavian family-run, bijou coffee house located in a former shipping container famed for their fantastic coffee served alongside a superb range of fresh authentically baked cakes, pastries and savoury snacks.

Although small in size their coffee and cakes certainly pack a punch, we’d highly recommend trying one of their ‘friands’ (a Swedish muffin) with the salted caramel with pear & pecan a divine choice, there’s also chocolate & hazelnut and plain too alongside warm Portuguese tarts (Pastel de Nata, pictured).

Cookies feature marshmallow & double chocolate with tray-bakes varying from biscuit bomb, chocolate & coconut flapjack, Jammie Dodger, and Biscoff cookie slice. For those looking for energy targeted food there’s a small selection of protein balls (coconut, strawberry or cinnamon) alongside banana bread to boot.

The specially selected coffee roasts vary by the day; on our most recent visit they included a Brazilian with dried fruit & almond notes alongside an El Salvador with subtle hints of vanilla & citrus. The cinnamon protein ball, long black vanilla coffee (from El Salvador) alongside a creamy Pastel de Nata were the perfect match for our summer Cotswold ride!

Out front in the sun-trapped courtyard you’ll find a small amount of benched seating alongside a number of tables inside the former shipping container too.
