Alternatively you could head towards the former flour mill just up river or across to Tewkesbury Abbey and it’s park

Set beside the River Avon and it’s confluence with the Severn, it's an ideal stopping off point when cycling around Bredon Hill or the back roads of north Gloucestershire, Once refuelled, why not head further west towards the Malvern Hills, Herefordshire and beyond

We’re a softie when it comes to ice cream… Tucked away just off Tewkesbury’s bustling High Street is a hidden gem, a superb family run ice cream and dessert parlour found within a quaint 16th century timbered cottage.

During 2020 the former cafe was transformed by the same owners into an extremely popular takeaway business serving up a fantastic range of ice cream sundaes, homemade desserts, paninis, breakfast baps, and salads. Don’t be surprised to find an orderly queue on a sunny weekend afternoon :).

Their decadent and hugely popular ice cream trays come in a variety of flavours ranging from banoffee pie, Kinder, fudgy Caramac, double chocolate, strawberry dream (as pictured), mint, Jammie Dodger and a doughnut special.

Ice cream sundaes include a fab birthday cake variant with real cake pieces and mini party rings, profiterole, Oreo, black forest, knickerbocker glory and chocolate honeycomb to name a few.

Homemade warm/cold desserts include a Nutella & Oreo / Aero mint / Biscoff cheesecake, strawberry & white chocolate / Twix blondie, apple & pear pie, chocolate chip bread & butter pudding, Cadbury chocolate waffle and cookie dough. Again, as you’d expect all come served with ice cream or cream too.

As if that wasn’t enough, there’s 14 different flavours of hard scoop ice cream sourced from Bennetts Ice Cream of nearby Worcester if you’re simply after a more traditional ice cream in a cone!

For those looking for something savoury (or just have a big appetite) there’s a selection of warm toasties, homemade snack bowls (the mac n’ cheese and chilli are great) and filled breakfast baps (bacon, sausage, pulled pork, fried egg, vegan sausage, vegan cheese) too in addition to coffee, tea and a range of soft drinks.

There’s limited seating directly outside the cafe, however we’re just a stones throw from the River Avon so why not takeaway (nearby to the former flour mill) and enjoy your treats overlooking the river with views to the nearby Malvern Hills and beyond?
