Open just one day a week (Saturdays), lucky Cheltonians find this award winning bakery’s famous sourdough loaves, French pâtisseries, morning buns, sweet breads and great coffee (Extract Coffee Roasters).

Specials on our most last summer visit included a range of decadent tarts; orange & pistachio, almond & strawberry or caramelised butterscotch & honey and chocolate brownies. In addition; a range of filled doughnuts; chocolate & honeycomb (pictured), marshmellow & jam (pictured), passionfruit or chocolate & raspberry. Morning buns were a sticky ginger & lemon, Bakewell or maple & pecan.

Inside the bustling bakery (which also does cookery lessons) you’ll find plenty of space in the informal and modern interior alongside a small number of tables out front too.

Note: they’d sold of out many of their tempting treats, hence the rather empty pictures. Service was a little unfriendly too.
