Found along the honey lined High Street in the Cotswold market town of Moreton-in-Marsh (and nearby Stow-on-the-Wold) is a superb French patisserie, artisan sourdough bakery and coffee shop.

Inside the bustling patisserie named after the owner’s children, you’ll find a superb selection of freshly baked patisseries, viennoiserie (pastries), cakes, eclairs, buns, sausage rolls and sandwiches. Also proudly on display is also their delicious sourdough made with flour from nearby Shipton Mill and superb coffee from the Gentlemen Baristas.

Sweet treats, all baked by Will the French pastry chef and bakery owner, range from orange polenta cake, lemon drizzle, millionaire shortbread, coconut macaroons, florentines, brownies, croissants and pan au chocolat. A notable mention must also go out to their cinnamon buns which are the talk of the town and not to be missed should you find some.

For those looking for something savoury there’s a great selection of viennoiserie including a apricot & harissa sausage roll, ham & cheese croissant and their decadent pides (pee-dah), a Turkish flatbread/pizza available as goats cheese & sun-dried tomato or nduja, ham & cheese. During our last morning visit we gobbled up the remaining pastrami, Swiss cheese and pickle brioche roll (as pictured), absolutely fantastic as was the accompanying florentine and cappuccino.

Out front there’s plenty of seating for cycling groups along with a small number of tables inside too. If struggling for space or cycling in a larger group, simply takeaway and enjoy in the nearby market square opposite and rest those weary legs.
