A family run cafe located in the large village of Bishops Cleeve, on the outskirts of Cheltenham and at the foot of Cleeve Hill. Inside you’ll find a large selection of tasty cakes, tray-bakes and pastries alongside savoury paninis, toasties and waffles too.
It’s all about the cakes here, we’d highly recommend their maple pecan triangle, mint tiffin, lemon & ginger shortbread or blackcurrant crumble for starters alongside a great cappuccino.
As for savoury options there’s a wide range of toasties, salads and paninis including meatball pastrami, tuna melt and turkey, ham & cheese.
With room inside for most sized groups (although weekends do get busy) there’s also plenty of seating outside too in their terraced area, complete with bike racking alongside.
For those living nearby or riding late, Thursday to Sunday evenings (18:00 – 21:30) you’ll also find them serving up their very own gourmet burgers.
Note: Black Gold also run a second cafe found in the centre of Cheltenham Spa at the top of the busy High Street. Address: 64 High Street, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, GL50 1EE.
