A popular Sunday cycle club destination, a fabulous independent cafe located in the Shropshire village of Ditton Priors at the foot of Brown Clee. Inside you’ll find great coffee, delicious breakfast and lunch options and a wide range of homemade sweet treats.

With both a breakfast and lunch menu (except Sunday’s when it’s just breakfast or cakes) there’s a wide range of fantastic home-cooked goodies to suit everyone. During our visit we had the Italian style eggs on sourdough and eggs Royale, topped off with a delicious Mars bar slice to finish!

Breakfast items include Huevos Rancheros (a delicious Mexican egg dish), smoked salmon & scrambled egg, their famous bacon & brie croissants, homemade pancake stacks and of course a cyclist staple, hot breakfast baps.

For lunch there’s always a selection of super tasty quiches on the menu, examples include a feta & broccoli or chicken & leek, where additionally you’ll find roasted veg & halloumi wraps, soup and a great selection of savoury pastries.

If looking for something sweet their homemade cakes aren’t to miss, specials during our last visit included orange marmalade & polenta, coffee cake, banana & chocolate loaf, Mars bar slice, brownie, flapjack and a very buttery Finnish pulla.

Inside there’s plenty of seating for larger groups and during the summer months there’s a fantastic outside seating area with plenty of room. Do ring ahead if you’re looking to ensure a table inside to shelter from the weather.

Note: just across the car park is the station museum for the former railway line which ran from the Brown Clee quarry. Also nearby is the now-defunct Nuclear shelter used as a command post in the event of war.
