Founded 150 years ago in Hockley Heath, Wedges Bakery are known for their fabulous baked goods, cakes and savoury snacks and they’re a popular hit for hungry cyclists exploring the West Midlands by two wheels. Additionally they’ve also stores in nearby Solihull and Earlswood too.

Step inside and you’ll find a vast array of delicious goodies including hot & cold sandwiches, jacket potatoes and salad boxes, alongside of course their freshly baked pastries, pasties, sausage rolls, pies, tray-bakes and cream cakes to name a few. Favourites of ours during our visits include the custard cream or Bakewell slice, Cornish pasty, Scotch eggs and veggie samosas.

Inside you’ll find a good amount of seating for small to medium sized groups along with a small number of tables out front with plenty of room for your bikes. Service is quick and prices are very reasonable making it an ideal quick pitstop before continuing your ride around nearby Solihull or Birmingham.
