Cycling down the luscious green lanes of the Yorkshire Dales we stumbled across the Brownie Barn. As you’d expect it’s all about the sweet, gooey little chocolatey cubes here, where they’re all freshly baked on site.
Nestled between Burns all and Bolton Abbey (worthy of a pit-stop itself), the cafe offers stunning panoramic views of the rolling Yorkshire countryside, serving up their award-winning chocolate brownies in a variety of tasty flavours including an extensive vegan range, indulgent brownie milkshakes, ice cream and freshly-roasted coffee.
The tranquil location makes it a favourite amongst cyclists and walkers alike with jaw-dropping views. Larger groups are welcome but for rainy days due to limited seating, do book ahead.
Rack your bike triathlon style with their dedicated cycle racking area, nearby to the outdoor terrace.
Flavours include double chocolate, caramel fudge, chocolate orange, salted caramel, raspberry, Morello cherry, coconut, wild mint and espresso along with a great vegan selection too. We throughly enjoyed the espresso and caramel fudge brownies, see our pictures for their full range.
