Five miles south of Dudley in the town of Kingswinford is a superb independent coffee shop serving up delicious all day breakfasts, lunches and sweet treats to hungry cyclists exploring the West Midlands by bike.
For those early riders you’re in for a treat as their breakfast menu is both varied and stupendous! Their ‘all about the eggs’ options range from eggs Benedict, Royale and Florentine to smashed avo or mushrooms on toast.
Additionally you’ll find a tempting Cypriot breakfast served with halloumi, eggs & avo, alongside a traditional English or veggie breakfast which features roasted beetroot, sautéed potatoes & smashed avo.
As if that wasn’t enough there’s also bacon or sausage bagels, American style pancakes with both sweet or savoury toppings, creamy porridge, a grilled brioche with warm fruit and the cyclist staple, toasted teacake!
If brunch isn’t your thing, there’s also a large lunch menu with a hot pork sandwich, filled Moroccan style flatbread, range of toasties, soup of the day, ‘posh beans on toast’ (with chorizo, home cured bacon, poached eggs and sourdough toast), salad bowls and homemade quiche.
Sweet treats are equally as impressive where if you’re lucky you’ll find their superb cruffins (a cross between a croissant and muffin) in Biscoff, chocolate or salted flavours. Cakes and tray-bakes included a decadent chocolate brownie, moist carrot cake (pictured and perhaps the best we’ve had) and a cream tea. It’s worth noting we did visit late during the day and their cake stock had been depleted by hungry locals :).
Out front there’s a bike racking area with hooks to secure your bike and inside small to medium sized cycling groups should have no problem in finding a table.
