Popular amongst cyclists in Warwickshire, a vintage tea room serving up outlandish homemade cakes, breakfast and lunch alongside quaint decor, china cups and excellent coffee.
Orangemabel is cycle friendly cafe and has a large outdoor seating area (pictured) to the rear. What’s more outside you’ll find their famously themed beach huts, pre-booking is recommended for larger groups. A favourite of ours, you’ll find a vast selection of decadant cakes along with a wide choice of breakfast and lunch options to boot.
With their cakes changing daily, some of our favourites during our numerous visits have included a lavender & vanilla, rose & pistachio and triple layered raspberry sponge.
If looking for something savoury, their breakfasts includes a sausage/bacon or Quorn baps, full veggie/vegan or English, smashed avo or eggs Benedict. As for lunch, there’s ‘big sandwiches’ served with air fried chips or a range of freshly made sandwiches. Addionally jacket potatoes, American style pancakes (the maple syrup is delicious) and soup of the day feature too.
Once refuelled be sure to explore the traditional red brick Georgian high street of Alcester before heading onwards east to Stratford-upon-Avon or the Cotswolds, where we recommend heading via Temple Grafton, Binton and Luddington.
