Drawn in by the smell of freshly baked sourdough here at their bakery HQ, you’ll instantly spot their open plan kitchen alive with their skilled bakers preparing baked sourdough, pastries, cruffins, cakes, brunches and savoury snacks to supply their cafe & kitchen here and at their birthplace in Stratford-upon-Avon and latest store in Chipping Norton.
Whether you’ve a sweet or savoury tooth you’ll find your perfect pick-me-up for those north Cotswold rides! With brilliant brunch options ranging from your staple bacon baps to a delicious sweet potato rosti, chorizo baked eggs with sourdough, house granola or ‘morning plate’ served with soft boiled egg, ham & Cornish gouda.
At lunch you’ll find a small selection of daily sandwich specials alongside sausage rolls, toasted brie, mushroom & spinach and toasted ham & cheese pastries.
The sweet selection is equally as tempting where if you’re lucky, you’ll still find some of their famous cruffins up for grabs (pictured is the white chocolate and raspberry), alongside a decedent bacon & maple syrup Canadian swirl, selection of croissants, fruit Danish, brownies, cinnamon buns and range of cakes & tarts.
Their avocado on sourdough toast with poached egg alongside a cruffin, croissant and cracking coffee (roasted by nearby Monsoon Estates) was the perfect Sunday morning cycle stop, paired with glorious Cotswold sunshine and like-minded cyclists looking for that caffeine fix too.
Their bakery is open 09:00 – 14:00 (Fri – Sun) and if you’re passing late Friday, be sure to stop by between 17:00 and 21:00 for their popup sourdough pizza evenings (see menu for tasters)! You’ll also find cafes of theirs in nearby Stratford-upon-Avon and their latest store in Chipping Norton.
