A fab cappuccino!

taste

The pistachio or dolce du leche cruffins are hard to beat, as are their famous flatbreads topping with tempting toppings such as chilli chicken & cheese or pesto & red pepper. The sweet chocolate bread (pictured) is a favourite of ours too

selection

Take a breath... Cruffins, croissants, tarts, cookies, doughnuts, pastries, flans, cakes, tray-bakes, patisseries, sandwiches, toasties, flatbreads, sausage rolls and empanadas, it's all here along with their sourdough loaves. Freshly baked on the premises and perhaps some of the best we've tasted!

value

Great value! Americano (£2.50), cappuccino (£3.25), tea (£2.50), croissants (from £2.50), pain au chocolat (£3.00), vanilla braid (£3.00), tray-bakes (£3.00), tarts (£5.00), cakes (£5.00), pastel de Nata (£2.00), doughnuts (£3.50), vanilla custard flan (£4.00), flatbreads (£4.50), quiche slice (£4.00), sausage roll (£3.00), sandwiches (£6.00)

storage

Sadly there's no bike racking but due to the small size of the bakery you can easily keep an eye on your bike whilst munching on perhaps some of the best treats we've tasted

groups

There's limited seating both inside and out, therefore an ideal quick pitstop. We'd certainly recommend it as it doesn't get any fresher being all about the baked goods here

location

We’re just five miles from Solihull and eleven miles south of the city of Birmingham and there's superb quiet roads nearby too; head through Tanworth and Henley-in-Arden to the Georgian town of Alcester and beyond

Superb artisan bakery in the leafy village of Hockley Heath, a stones throw from Solihull and Birmingham. The bread, cakes, pastries and savoury snacks are made each day and we’d challenge you to find better tasting treats!

Sweet treats include cruffins (pistachio or dolce du leche), vanilla braid, croissants (raspberry or lemon cheesecake filled, almond & plain), vanilla custard flan, decadent brownies, pastel de Nata, doughnuts, tarts, cookies (mint choc chip) and cakes. There’s also posh patisseries including coffee & walnut or chocolate eclairs, cream slices, passionfruit or raspberry tarts and chocolate fondants.

The savouries are just as scrumptious; garnished flatbreads (red pepper & pesto or chilli chicken), quiche, sausage rolls, empanadas (cheese & onion, butternut squash & goats cheese, classic beef), sandwiches (Italian, New Yorker, meat fest, veggie or chicken ceaser) and toasties (chicken, chilli & cheese).

Out front there’s a small number of alfresco seating alongside a small number of benched seats inside too. A popular cycling destination at the weekend, you’ll be sure of good company.
