Superb , freshly roasted cappuccino from Extract Coffee Roasters in Bristol!

Located in the popular Cotswold market town of Moreton-in-Marsh is a superb new cafe, bakery and coffee house serving up all your favourite brunch & lunch staples alongside fantastic coffee, cakes and always a warm welcome.

Brunch is served all-day with those early risers finding house roasted granola, honey & cinnamon porridge, breakfast pots (blood orange, blackberry, coconut chai), sourdough toast or a choice of sourdough breakfast baps. On the subject of their bread… aside from it being fab it’s all made in-house at their Carterton bakery and can be bought in-store too.

There’s avo & feta on sourdough, scrambled eggs with varying toppings or French toast with either maple syrup, cherry compote & Greek yogurt or bacon & maple syrup. Additionally other savoury snacks include a variety of rolls (their Moroccan spiced is a hit with the locals), soup of the day, wild garlic & cheese or ricotta & sun-dried tomato tart and their famous sourdough melts; mozzarella & jalapeno or roast chicken & basil.

Sweet treats on our spring visit featured their rather moreish cruffins (highly recommend the custard!), Lamington doughnuts, key lime pie, cherry almond or peanut butter cookies, lemon & raspberry polenta cake, banana cake and cinnamon bear claw to name a few! Do see our pictures for more of the range.

The coffee is from one of our favourite roasters, Extract Coffee of Bristol. Inside there’s plenty of room for small to medium sized groups with a small number of tables alfresco too. Do note it’s walk-ins only and at the weekends does get rather busy with the locals.

Lynwood & Co is a small chain of (currently) eight cafes ran by enthusiastic owners Rob and Kats Broadbent, the staff are always extremely friendly on our visits to their cafes and service is both quick and efficient.

Their bread is made in-house at their Carterton bakery using traditional sourdough slow fermentation methods and the organic flour is from Shipton Mill in Tetbury. The meat is from Cutler & Cashin located just a stone’s throw away from their Lechlade cafe.
