coffee

A good coffee, but you're here for the cake

taste

It's hard to choose a favourite but the chocolate orange, red velvet and profiterole cakes are a strong choice

selection

Almost too much, I'm yet to get through their whole selection - but trying!

value

A cup of tea and cake (£5.50)

storage

No storage at the cafe, but there's bike racks to the right of the cafe, in the centre island of Bridge Street, opposite Lloyds Bank

groups

Very small inside and gets extremely busy with tourists, therefore for large groups takeaway is recommended

location

A great pitstop whilst exploring Stratford-upon-Avon, once done there's some great routes out towards Welford-on-Avon, Mickleton, Chipping Campden and beyond

Probably the largest selection of cakes and sweet treats you’ll ever find in a cafe! Set right in the centre of bustling Stratford-upon-Avon, just a stones throw from Shakespeare’s birthplace.

As to what you’ll find, there’s simply too much to list but cakes include; traditional sponges (Victoria, carrot, chocolate fudge, lemon), cheesecakes, fruit tarts and flans, tray bakes (millionaire’s shortbread is great), cream slices, gateaux and tortes, their renowned giant scones and much more! If that’s not enough, there’s also a vast selection of savourity meals and snacks!

Hobson’s is very busy during the tourist season due to it’s location, but well worth a visit!
