In the leafy north Worcestershire village of Alvechurch, ten miles south of Birmingham is this popular deli serving up delicious snacks, homemade bakes and a great coffee.

A supporter of local producers, you’ll find a mouth-watering selection of cheeses, tray-bakes and brownies (a superb salted caramel). On the menu is mainly finger and snacking food, with deli platters or bowls being made up by the friendly team.

At the weekend you may even be so lucky to find one of their cinnamon buns and pastel de nata tarts. For those arriving on a Friday evening there’s also a superb range of over a hundred small batch gins to work through.
