Within the quaint Worcestershire village of Wolverley dating back to 1086, located within the Wyre Forest District is a popular, family-run cafe serving up delicious homemade cakes, breakfasts, lunches and coffee to hungry cyclists exploring north Worcestershire on two wheels.
At the weekend you’ll be sure to bump into like-minded company amongst fellow cyclists resting those weary legs either inside their smartly decorated interior or out on their busy sun-trap terrace.
For those earlier riders breakfast includes reasonably priced breakfast cyclist staples; filled breakfast sandwiches, a full English and toasted teacake, alongside Belgium waffles with a choice of toppings, salmon & avocado on toasted sourdough, banana & peanut butter toastie and yogurt breakfast bowls.
At lunch there’s a large selection of toasties, sandwiches and salads, with a special shout out to their generously filled and famous Buddha bowls with toppings including king prawn, halloumi or falafel.
You’ll always find Gil’s famous Malteser cheesecake, alongside delicious homemade cakes made by Lisa and Kate. During our last visit we tried the courgette & walnut cake (pictured) which was both extremely moist and sweet! Be sure to get your fix in early as their cakes sure do sell like hot ones as you can see!
