A favourite cycling spot amongst locals, situated just four miles east of Alcester and seven from Stratford-upon-Avon, in the quiet village of Great Alne, Warwickshire.
Famous for their decadent afternoon tea towers, you’ll also find a fantastic range of homemade cakes, pastries, sandwiches, scones and brunch options available too.
The pencan tart was delicious and was a tough choice over their gluten free brownie, lemon and poppy slice or lavender scone with clotted cream and jam!
With plenty of space in their large garden out front, larger groups will have no problem finding a seat to relax those tired legs, what’s more there’s also a small number of seats indoors for those chillier rides too.
For those with a larger appetite or able to get a tow home, the afternoon tea boards are extremely popular and decadent. A sample menu includes free-range pork and apple sausage rolls, goats cheese & caramelised red onion tart, smoked cod Scotch egg with aioli and chicken & bacon BLT sandwich. As for sweet, there’s Yorkshire rhubarb & white chocolate tart, pistatchio & cherry cake, milk chocolate & raspberry gateau, lemon tart and lavendar scone with jam & clotted cream.
