Artisan cafe & restaurant located within Ludlow Castle serving up breakfast and lunch alongside homemade cakes and goo coffee. Although perhaps not the typical cycling cafe to visit being a little pricer and tucked out the way slightly, we thought it’d be worth sharing our visit here.
The eggs on sourdough alongside a slice of their Bakewell tart was the perfect accompaniment for our chilly winter ride passing through Ludlow and onto the cathedral city of Hereford. Other cakes include; chocolate brownie, apple, almond & walnut cake, iced lemon or fruit scone.
Breakfast is served until 11:30 and features their delicious soda bread throughout including a tempting sausage, streaky bacon, black pudding & confit tomato plate. At lunch there’s soup, ham & devilled egg sandwich, croque madame, steak sandwich, goats cheese or beetroot salad bowls and larger plate meals.
Out back is superb seating overlooking Ludlow castle (excuse the rain in our pictures), alongside plenty of seating indoors.
