Bruno’s Bakery is a bustling family run bakery established way back in 1990 by owners Brian & Joanne, located in the heart of the Warwickshire village of Studley which is just a short cycle away from Stratford-upon-Avon, Redditch and Alcester.
Having very recently moved to new purpose premises, step inside and you’ll find a meticulously decorated, airy and large cafe, bakery & coffee house serving up delicious breakfasts, lunches, savoury snacks, sweet treats, cream cakes, freshly baked bread and much much more. The coffee is from Iron & Fire roastary of Shrewsbury.
For those early risers you’ll find their popular full English/veggie/vegan, alongside green eggs & ham, eggs Royale/Benedict, mackerel on toast, sourdough avocado or halloumi smash and banoffee pancakes.
Lunchtime is equally as appetising with a Persian (halloumi, yogurt, asian slaw), Indian (chicken tikka & mint yogurt) or Greek (Greek cheese) flatbread served with humus, sautéed peppers and salad. There’s also a steak flatbread, fish finger sandwich, cajun buttermilk chicken and our favourite; the Reuben, a stack of salt beef, sauerkraut gherkin, Swiss cheese & Russian dressing. As if that wasn’t enough, you can ‘build your own’ sandwiches or toasties with a selection of salads and savoury bites too – the homemade chilli jam sausage rolls are delicious, there’s also a vegan option too!
As you’d expect you’re spoilt for choice when it comes to sweet treats; Bakewell tarts, gingerbread, ringed & iced doughnuts, Ferrero Rocher loaded brownie, an assortment of flapjacks, almond & blueberry white chocolate slices, pastries (almond croissants, pan au chocolat) and our favourite (pictured) a creamy chocolate eclair. Note: our pictures were taken after a very busy Friday and therefore the selection is rather depleted.
In addition to a large number of tables downstairs, there’s also a vast outdoor terraced seating area upstairs which is a superb sun-trap for those warmer months and means groups of all sizes will have no trouble finding a space to sit.
